Skunk Spray Go Away!

How to neutralize skunk spray.

When our long-haired cat was sprayed by a skunk by our back door, I was slow to dig out a recipe for neutralizing the smell because I didn't have confidence in it.  After several days, I had smelled the skunk long enough.  Bethany found the recipe, and together we gave the cat a bath and scrubbed the back door.  The result was beyond all expectations.

The recipe we used:

1 quart of hydrogen peroxide

1/4 cup of baking soda

1 squirt of liquid soap
